NymVPN sounds great on paper with its focus on privacy through mixnet technology, but in reality, it's a frustrating, half-baked product. The speeds are painfully slow, especially in anonymous mode, and even the "fast" WireGuard mode performs well below average. It’s filled with bugs—frequent disconnects, crashes, broken UI, and no kill switch—which makes it unreliable for anyone who actually needs consistent protection. Add in the clunky setup process, high CPU usage, and lack of proper platform support, and it feels more like a privacy science experiment than a real VPN. Stick with something mature like ProtonVPN or Mullvad unless you're just trying to tinker.
